Reminder, we are still on ‘spring break’ and will not meet on 3/28! We look forward to getting back together on Thursday, April 4th.
OK! So, we are now more than halfway through the Book of John! How’s it going? What has been standing out to you?
Your homework this week is to take a few minutes to spend with the Lord:
- Pray and let the Lord know you WANT to experience Him in new ways the second half of this season. Praise Him for the good things He has done in and through you. Ask Him for more!
- Look back at your notes and reflect on the major a-ha moments you’ve had this season while studying John. Do you sense a theme? If you had to summarize them into one word, what would it be?
- Consider using a concordance, or just your phone and check out where that theme is represented in the bible. This can be as easy as typing in. “Where do you find the word _______ in the Bible.” Go on a little treasure hunt and check out the scriptures that come up. (hint: don’t get sucked into the various articles or blogs you find. Simply use the “address” of the bible verse to lead you back into the Word and see what the Lord may wish to reveal to you.)
We are about 1-1/2 hours into The Gospel of John Movie and are about to start the accent to the most dramatic climax of the most powerful story ever written in the history of the world in which we live.
If you have some downtime this week, consider rewatching the first half of the movie as a refresher!
